Lesly Ramirez Melchor
Inspired by Women's History Month and the "We Can Do It" painting, I wanted to draw something that would capture all women and their empowerment while still being simplistic about it. I decided to draw the fist along with the female sign. I decided not to color it in because I personally felt that adding any type of skin tone to the fist would be excluding other women, unintentionally. In other words, I feel like just seeing a black and white woman's fist says so much with so little.
