Does your family have any important traditions?
The Asian American experience is about creating bridges between cultures, my Chinese self and my American self, and sometimes creating new, unique traditions that merge the two and evolve over time. Growing up, for instance, we always ate our Thanksgiving turkey with a side of white rice and stir-fry.
