How well do you think BCS is doing with Covid-19?
“I think BCS is doing very well with Covid, however I do feel like some things such as the lack of a lunch period and students staying home if they’re exposed should be changed. I believe there should be a lunch period, and regardless of vaccination every student should be tested, and if any student was exposed, they should quarantine until they get negative test results, regardless of vaccination status.”
– Isaac Fliegelman (12th grade)
“Not super hot, we have cases popping up a little too much and they don’t count you as close contact if you were wearing a mask within 3 feet of the person.”
-Angelica Kenny (12th grade)
How do you feel about morning temperature checks and health screening?
“I think it’s kinda cool. it’s like a futuristic installment like the ones you see in dystopian movies where they scan you and shows your records and personal info. It’s cool.”
– Lisa Mai (10th grade)
“I like it, it assures people about the symptoms and how they feel.”
-Anissa Weathers (12th grade)
“It makes me even more late sometimes.”
-Jeanine Romero (10th grade)
How do you feel about not having lunch during the day?
“I don’t like it because lunch is usually like a break to relax and just take some time to ourselves and talk more to our friends.”
– Madison Corchado (10th grade)
“Hate it. I’m always hungry by then and I don’t wanna have to walk all the way downstairs to come back up after I don’t like what they have.”
– Jayden Escobar (10th grade)
“I think it’s a big issue for all students, and I find myself having a hard time with it. It’s definitely one thing I would like to change.”
– Isaac Fliegelman (12th grade)
What can BCS do to make this Covid journey easier? What’s the next step?
“Do a better job mandating with masks and dealing with kids who don’t know how to put it on correctly.”
– Lisa Mai (10th grade)
“I think lunch period should come back, and if possible, have more students tested.”
– Isaac Fliegelman (12th grade)
How do you feel about wearing masks?
“I honestly don’t like it because I have to walk 10 flights of stairs, but I have to protect myself and kids who aren’t fully vaccinated so it’s important to wear your masks correctly.”

“I feel that wearing masks is necessary.”
– Justin Vasquez (12th grade)
