How many years have you been in this position?
This is my first year in this role but I have been working over 10 years with young people.
What is your experience working in this role?
My experience is very fulfilling! I enjoy being able give back and to help students. I learn a lot working with youth.
Who inspired you?
My mother and my track coaches Jenny and Mr. B. inspired me. They used to take me to track meets and they gave back to their community. The three of them shaped who I am.
What is one of the toughest things you have faced in your career?
One of the toughest things I have faced is Covid. But it helped me to learn who I am as well as raised my awareness in working with young people.
What did you want to do when you were younger?
I wanted to be a teacher and professional track runner.
What words of advice do you have for the younger generation?
Try new things. Dont be afraid to fail and to try again.
