Wolves Tech Connect (WTC) is a new tech troubleshooting initiative BCS started this semester. It consists of eight 11th-grade students who were selected, based on their grades, credit accumulation, leadership potential, and responsibility, to work with Eddie, the BCS/BNS technology coordinator.
Wolves Tech Connect team is diligently working to establish an efficient system for maintaining and managing the school’s laptop carts. As part of this initiative, each classroom now has a designated laptop cart. Daily, during period 8, the WTC team is tasked with auditing the laptop carts on the fourth and fifth floor—making sure they are programmed, connected to wifi, and carefully noting if any laptops are missing/misplaced or need repair.
This new initiative is more crucial to BCS than ever because New York ELA and math state tests and P/SAT are computer-based. The WTC team is responsible for checking each laptop to make sure that the necessary testing applications are downloaded. This is critical so that students can utilize the laptops during the tests without any technical issues.
Furthermore, a thorough inspection of all laptops by the WTC team ensures that BCS students can effectively utilize the laptops during their classes as needed, enhancing our overall learning experience.
