How long have you been in this position?
I’ve been in this position as a school aid for close to a month now. I am new.
What do you like about this position?
I love how it gets me up in the morning with my son because we are both excited about going to school. It also helps me be proactive. I like an office job.
What did you want to be when you were in middle and high school?
When I was younger I wanted to be a cop.
Who inspired you growing up?
My mom and sister.
What is one of the toughest obstacles you’ve faced in your life?
Leaving my family to go to college.
How did you overcome it?
I socialized, made friends, and realized that I was doing it for myself and nobody else.
What are some words of advice you would give to the younger generation?
Stay positive and know that practice makes perfect. Always put your mental health first.
