Softball shares the same fundamentals as baseball, with a riveting clash between defense and offense on the diamond-shaped field. Don’t let the similarities fool you – softball has its unique flair, with a bigger ball and a slightly smaller playing field.
Our softball team, affectionately known as The Lady Wolves, consists of sophomores and juniors. Led by our dedicated head coach Jose Rivera and co-coach Elijah Jeffers, they prioritize inclusivity and teamwork. Jose and Elijah make sure that there’s always room on the roster for new members and help all athletes feel comfortable. Lady Wolves feels like a tight-knit family.
Similarly, our baseball team made up of juniors and seniors, under the guidance of devoted coach Brandon Quinones, stresses teamwork and is welcoming to all. Coach Brandon makes space for new members and fosters a sense of comfort among athletes.
Both teams practice every day after school from 3:15 – 5:15 p.m., except on game days. Team members are putting in the work to sharpen our skills. From intense warm-ups, workouts, and drills, we’re gearing up to take on the competition and make our mark on the field.
Mark your calendars because the BCS Boys’ baseball against A-Tech High School is a home game at Commodore Barry Park on Tuesday, April 2nd game at 4:00 p.m. Lady Wolves Softball first game of the season is an away game against William H. Maxwell and set for Wednesday, April 3rd at 4:00 p.m.
