These times are tough on students. We like to be around friends but we might have trouble making friends through a screen. To help me address this problem, I made a club. Essentially I made a group chat (with about 30 students right now) on an app called Discord in which the students can talk to each other and make new friends. I
also made a type of community project in the form of a Minecraft world! Students are able to connect through video games and express themselves by building and forming an online community. I hope I can do more with this in the future but I’m proud that it’s going well now!
Here’s a tip I would share with new BCS students: email anyone you want to connect with and you never know what may happen.
