At the end of last semester, all middle school students had a whole week to join clubs and play games while the teachers graded, had meetings, and did Mastery Support. Each teacher led a club. I joined a lot of clubs. The ones I joined were really fun – cooking, trivia, sketch.io, Escape the Room, Among Us and Drama Club.
Among Us was my favorite. It is an online game used for teamwork and can be played by 4-10 players. In the game, some people are “imposters” and go around “killing” people. The people who are “crew mates” have to figure out who the imposters are so they can win the game.
Every club I joined was fun and collaborative. We all worked together and we had fun with our teachers and classmates. I think we should have more club weeks because some students tried new things for the first time and clubs help us to collaborate with each other.
