Courage is one of the BCS core values. Courage is important. If you do not know what courage is, it is being brave. People need courage to do a stunt or to do a backflip. I have courage and so do you, the only way for you to find courage is to do what you are scared of.
For example, let’s say my little brother Asher and my little cousin Mason are going skydiving and once they are about to jump out of the plane Mason looks down, starts to sweat and to shake like an earthquake has happened. Asher asks, Mason, are you okay? Mason says, I am scared. Asher says, Mason, don’t be scared. It will be fine and plus we will have professionals on our backs so we are safe, okay? Now I will tell you how I found my courage. It was during summer break in 2019 and I went on a cruise. The cruise went for a week to different countries. One afternoon, we got to Mexico City and my mom asked me if I wanted to go ziplining and I said yes. But as I got hooked up, I was so scared. I felt so nervous, my heart started beating like a drum. As soon as I went across the line, I kept looking down like I would fall. Then I looked to my right and I saw how high I was. Then I headed down the rope. It looked like I was going so FAST that the rope would fall.
I tried to stop the rope to slow down but I noticed that I was doing it wrong and then I went even FASTER. As I got to the tree, my Mom and Dad held me so I would not hit the tree. As I landed, I felt like I was going to have a heart attack but as soon as I went on the second zipline, I tried to just close my eyes and spread my arms out to feel the fresh air. When I landed on the next tree, I felt good. All in all, to get courage, face your biggest FEAR.
